Built on the grounds of the previous 14th Century Virgin Mary Church, St Vitus is a Gothic church located in the heart of Cesky Krumlov. While the interior if the church is far from impressive compared to other churches in the region, it is worth a visit to see its soaring arches and stained glass windows.

It’s nestled on the Vltava River and has a beautiful castle and spacious town square. It’s easy to get from Prague to Cesky Krumlov and there are so many things to do in Cesky Krumlov that it’s absolutely worth a visit.

The trip from Prague to Cesky Krumlov is a little long but the scenery there is worth it. Sadly the castle interior was closed for visits, but we walked through the courtyards and the viewing platform and we could take many great pictures there.
Answer 1 of 2: I am planning to spend a day/night visiting CK early this Novemeber; I understand that the castle is a musttour but it will be closed. My question is if it is still worth to visit the city and waht you advise to do?.
